Alot of businesses carry cyber insurance but they don't have actual cybersecurity measures in place…

When you ask them they will say "Well I have a network firewall, isn't that all I need to protect my data?"

And the answer is well No…

That's like having car insurance and not having airbags in your car... 

Also did you know when filing a cyber claim, Insurance policies require you to demonstrate that you had proper security measures in place before the cyber incident occurred?

Many businesses think traditional defenses like Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) which is what most firewalls provide out of the box are good enough, but that's not the case anymore. Exfiltration attacks can still slip through the cracks, especially when the majority of your traffic is going by unscanned due to a lack of decryption and PKI implementations. 🕵️‍♂️

What does this mean? It means your firewall ain't firewallin’! 💥

Implementing good security controls is a multi-prong approach. It starts with finding and implementing the right technologies the right way, and just like anything else -- it is a continuous process of improvement.

There isn't a company in the world that thinks "We did it! We have the best security solution, and now we are done!"
